The rowing machine I have creates fine dust from friction at the elbow that drops to and stains the carpet. I made this snap fit cover that fits over the nut and bolt to contain that dust.
I printed it in PETG because that's what my printer was set up for from my previous project, but PLA would work just fine.
The included 3mf file has painted on supports inside of the snap fit so I would not need to print with brim enabled, which left sharp edges when I removed them. I'm too lazy to sand or deburr.
I oriented the print so that the snap fit collar would not be susceptible to layer breaks.
