I was unsatisfied with the rigidity of the pre-existing options for toolboard mounts for the E34M1 toohead, especially when using a cable chain. So I made this mount MUCH chonkier in order to improve the accuracy of input shaper results.
It was designed with the Orbiter 2 in mind, but may work with other extruder adaptor plates, it's intended to sit hard against the back of the extruder motor.
It was intended to be used with this cable chain: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08CPYCQ84?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1 but it should be relatively easy to adapt it to any cable chain or umbilical with the included STEP file.
BOM:
- 5x M3x4x5 heatset inserts
- 1x M3x16mm SHCS (replaces the rear screw of the Orbiter 2 mount)
- 1x M3x6mm SHCS (screwed from the bottom through the original cable mount hole)
