I started getting really into enjoying hats two years ago and as my collection kept growing, my wife and I thought, why not put them on full display? We put together what we dub the "hat wall" using these hat hangers where all of the hats can be hung together making a fun display and a fun place for people to nab a hat to try on when we have people over. These hat hangers are circular on the top so the hats are properly supported and you don't get dents from concentrated pressure at one point like with hooks.
I made a short version which is good for most hats, but I also made a longer version that's necessary for hats with especially deep brims like the straw hat with the bow. Most other fedoras and wide brims without the deep shape are okay on the short hat hangers and will sit flush with the wall.
I tried to make the base of the hanger a bit thinner, so only smaller screws can fit into the holes well while still leaving enough space above for the caps to cover up the screws. All of my settings are included in the .3mf file, but I printed this with an 0.4mm nozzle with Polyterra PLA on a textured PEI build plate. I've been able to get a very smooth surface finish with the ironing on the main base. The upper part of the curve has some obvious stair stepping which could be reduced with a lower layer height, but I don't notice it from arms length and they're almost always covered anyway. There's also an obvious line on the outside from the layer where the base is printed that I tried to reduce, but I could not eliminate without more excessive wall perimeters.
