Kulp K64D-B Controller – 3D Reference Model

This is a dimensionally accurate 3D reference model of the Kulp K64D-B controller board, intended for case design, enclosure modeling, and fit verification.

This model was created and used during the design of my snap-fit K64D-B wall-mount case and is being shared separately for anyone designing their own mounts, enclosures, or layouts.

Intended Use

  • Enclosure and case design

  • Clearance and fit checks

  • Mounting concept validation

  • CAD mockups and layout planning

Included Files

  • STEP files included for easy import into most CAD tools

  • Additional formats may be provided for convenience

Important Notes

  • Not an official manufacturer model

  • Geometry is simplified where appropriate

  • For mechanical reference only

  • Not suitable for PCB fabrication or electrical analysis

Compatibility

  • Works well in Fusion 360, FreeCAD, SolidWorks, Shapr3D, and similar CAD tools

  • Proportions and mounting locations match the physical board closely for enclosure work

Project Context

This model is part of a larger, standardized system used in my Generation 2 holiday light show. The design focuses on modularity, cold-weather serviceability, and swap-first maintenance rather than in-field repairs.

Ongoing design documentation, system architecture notes, and future iterations are published on Patreon.
