How I Designed This

YK41012_FrontGrill

Aim:

  • Provide a more authentic Ford Bronco look and to provide lights

Required parts:

How to:

  1. Organize the lights from INJORA/AliExpress
  2. Print the grill and use it to mark the body light holes to cut out
  3. Drill the small holes for the M2 screws
  4. Do cabling from inside body before mounting the grill to body
  5. Use M2 screw and locknut (nylon nut) to fix the grill to body
  6. (Optional part) For cabling, connect the front and backlights to one double connector (INJORA LED Light Control Lamp Panel for 1/10 1/8 RC Car) switchable via channel 4 or similar
  7. (Optional part) For connection from body to ESC use AXSPEED Universal Magnetic Snap-on JR/ZH1.5 Extension Cable for RC Model Car (https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256808898499470.html)

YK41012_FrontBumper

  • Getting rid of the ugly and NOT matching bumper and create something more authentic
  • Closing the gap between body and bumper
  • Improve obstacle approaching angle due to short angled bumper

Required parts:

  • Stock bumper screws

YK41012_RearGrill_Ford-Body

Aim:

  • Providing red backlights (My apologies for NOT finding proper matching rectangle lights)

Required parts:

  • From AliExpress 10mm red lights "RC LED Light Kit Headlamps for 1/10 1/8 1/12 RC Car Truck Crawler Drift Car Headlight Taillight TRAXXAS HSP HPI MN99 MN90 Wltoys"

Information:

  • The logo is just an example, while the one provided shows "Ford Bronco" in original Ford TTL font

YK41012_RockSlider

  • Getting rid of the simple and NOT matching bumper and create something more authentic
  • Provide a minimal body protection from side impact

Required parts:

  • Stock screw and stock mounting hole plates

YK41012_Batterymount_Front

Aim:

  • Provide a second battery mount to front to improve weight distribution
  • Extend battery capacity using a parallel adapter and 2 batteries

Required parts:

  • M2 or M2.5 countersunk screw to mount battery mount to chassis holes with corresponding locknuts
  • Velcro stripe to fix the battery

YK41012_Batterymount_Distance

Aim:

  • Avoid battery from moving around (depending on your battery, this can be achieved by putting anything in between)

Further optional updates

  • Removed window stickers and cleared windows using TAMIYA paint remover (not as easy as expected, but it works while it takes time)
  • Exchanged wheels and tires (brass in the front/aluminum rear)
  • Exchanged stock transmitter and receiver using cheap FlySky G7P and FS-R4P 4 channel receiver
  • Exchanged 25KG steering servo with cheap INJORA INJS035 35KG servo
  • Repositioned start button, reachable via pinky finger between chassis and body
