Printing
Three bases are laid together at the longer side for each drawer in the unit. Thus, a unit with one drawer needs 6 bases (3 for the top, 3 for the bottom). A unit with 2 drawers needs 12 bases if constructed horizontally or 9 bases if constructed vertically
There are two drawer options for this container: golf-drawer is a drawer with shorter sides that uses less filament, while golf-drawer-taller is sturdier and uses more filament. Personally, I use the shorter drawer.
I recommend printing the supports vertically with just the square pip on either end resting on the print bed. Then print with supports. This provides the most accurate dimension for the square pip.
Printing sides and backs is optional. Those pieces do not add any stability or functionality to the unit; they are purely aesthetic.
I print all these models in PLA with 0.3mm layer height and 15% infill.
Assembly
Watch the video at the Paraphernalium YouTube channel to see the assembly of a unit. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqUMiay0OJRkRLxIOwT74JA
When assembling the unit, press firmly to ensure that the supports are completely inserted into the bases. You should be able to move a full storage unit, but it’s safer to place it on your shelf before filling it with cards.
Extras
Each drawer needs at least one 3D-printed divider to support the cards.
There are three versions of the golf-sleeve model for holding a single golf course of 18 hole cards. The only difference between the three is the placement of the tab: left, center, or right. The tab is designed for you to place a 1”x 2-5/8” address label. Contact me for a Word document called “Course Sleeves Labels” that contains labels for the courses published by PLAAY Games.
