Behold, the engineering marvel you didn't know you needed until this exact moment:

The Adjustable Stick™.

It’s a rod. It has threads. It gets longer, and it gets shorter.

What is it for? Honestly... I’m not entirely sure. You tell me!

As demonstrated in the highly professional photograph above, its primary mission right now is acting as a steadfast spacer between a bathroom cabinet and a tiled wall. It heroically prevents the cabinet from wobbling back and forth, saving humanity from slightly annoying rattling noises.

The Specs:

  • Collapsed Length: ~180 mm

  • Extended Length: ~230 mm

  • Adjustment mechanism: Highly sophisticated "Lefty-Loosey, Righty-Tidey" technology. The outer tube has a textured grip for maximum torque application when battling stubborn gaps.

Potential (and slightly ridiculous) Uses:

  • Keeping furniture away from walls (the boring, practical use).

  • Propping open a heavy window just enough to let a bee out.

  • A very confusing dumbbell for hamsters.

  • Temporarily holding up a shelf while you panic-search for the real bracket.

  • Your Idea Here: Print it, shove it into a gap, and post a photo in the "Makes" section!

Print Instructions
  • Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS. (PETG recommended if it will be under constant compression load).

  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm minimum (0.6 mm for speed and strength).

  • Layer Height: 0.2 mm (Standard).

  • Infill: 25-40% Gyroid or Cubic. Needs to be sturdy to act as a spacer.

  • Walls (Perimeters): 3-4 walls for thread strength.

  • Supports: No. Print both parts standing vertically on their hex heads.

  • Brim: Recommended for the tall threaded bolt part to ensure stability during printing.
