Description

I've printed the original one but my roll inner tube diameter is a little bit bigger. So it fits flabby.

So I've remodeled the head part with 40mm external diameter. Also adopted it for easier printing without supports replaced all rounding parts with chamfers.

Attaching the FreeCAD project file as well. Feel free to adopt it to your needs.

The rest is the same as for the original model, you need the following parts that cannot be printed:

  • 1 x Metal rod ⌀ 7mm x 150-200mm (170+mm is highly recommended, 206mm max)

  • 2 x Ball bearing type 608

Printing

URGENT NOTE: To print the head part without supports set up sacrificial layer in slicer. In Orca Slicer find it in Process -> Quality -> Bridging -> Bridge counterbore holes -> Sacrificial layer

Drill the sacrificial layer or just cut it with cutters after printing. This is needed for head only. Other parts are easy to print with any settings, just ensure you've calibrated the flow correctly to fit the bearings well.

Assemble

  1. Press the bearings into the head. I've just put the bearing onto the floor, then positioned the head part and applied some pressure.

  2. Put the spacers into the bearings and press the rod inside.

  3. Try to roll the head on the rod. If it works tightly, just take the head and apply some pressure along the rod to release the counterpressure between the spacers.

  4. Place the head onto the ground vertically and press the handle.

Finally

Please leave the origin author a heart (just he asked there) :)
