The openscad file imports the 113638 file by name, fills the old tang hole and then subtracts the new tang as described in openscad from the original *.stl handle. The openscad file is fully commented and parameterized, so the task should be straight forward to resize the tang to whatever file tang you have.
I originally worked with this file 2 years ago, just after I got my 3D printer. My first experiments of taking someone's *.stl and modifying it for my use were clumsy and painful. I came back and re-did this now that I'm a little more proficient with openscad and a lot more proficient with an AI. The handle on the file in the picture is the print from this new design. The others on the side were my originals from 2 years ago.
