We had a need for a ceiling mount for our AppleTVs. I came up with this simple mount.
You can have the ports facing any of the three filleted holes (sides or back) and power and HDMI shouldn't have any issues plugging in.
Tolerances on the opening are slightly tight, but we didn't want any chance that these could simply "fall out". As is, it is best to press upward while sliding in so the bottom of the AppleTV doesn't get marred. We aren't terribly concerned with that, though, as we aren't planning on removing the devices frequently / ever, and the scuffing on the base isn't an issue for us.
The three tabs in the center - I call a mohawk - do not interfere with our ceiling tiles. The t-rail fitment is just right for those we use in our buildings. Slide it in at a slight angle and it will pop into place. Removal is pretty simple by reversing the process - pull down the left side a little and slide it off (making sure the mohawk isn't obstructed by the ceiling tile as you do).
On a Bambu X1 Carbon, these can be printed 10 to a plate, no supports needed and only very minor visual imperfections at the two bridges on the sides - look at the right side of the third image and you might notice this minor imperfection. I'm sure if I slowed down the bridge speed a little bit, everything would be perfect. But, as is, it's pretty darn great.
