Valentine clips for post-it envelopes

For this Valentine's Day, bring back passing notes to your crush!

I had an idea to start writing down small, daily notes/letters to my partner so that next year I could give him a trove of them to read at his leisure.

After learning to fold post-its into small envelopes, I realized they would not stay close so I made these small clips!

They print very fast, weigh little and are made for envelopes made from 9cm square post-its! I may come back and add more variations as the year goes on, but these are a nice starter. 

Printing

Printing them is pretty straightforward; as they are quite tiny, if you have trouble making them stick prefer slowing the print down; it's one minute long anyway.

They don't flip because they're not quite symmetrical; the center of the clip has a small notch to fold it better under the clip.

If the hearts stick up a bit after clipping them on the envelope, gently bend the lower half the upper one is flush! 

Bonus: folding tiny envelopes

Write your note, then fold the right and left sides of the note so they meet at the center. The note is now a vertical slip one third of the original width.

Then, take the upper corners and fold them toward the center line, so that there is now an upward pointing triangle.

Get the lower edge of the note and fold it up so that the edge meets the base of the triangle. Now, simply bend down the triangle to form the envelope and clip it close!

Be precise on that first step! If the envelopes come out off center, consider folding down the middle before starting, so you have a mark where the center is.
