1. Project Overview
The aim of this project is to build a compact stereo Bluetooth speaker for home or portable use, using:
a ready-made Bluetooth amplifier module,
two 3 W full-range speakers,
battery or USB power,
a 3D-printed enclosure.
The design focuses on:
ease of assembly,
minimal component count,
full customization of the enclosure (color, front grille, knob).
2. Main Components
2.1 Audio Module
Kitronik 2182 – Bluetooth Stereo Amplifier Module
Bluetooth version: 4.2
Output power: 2 × 3 W (4 Ω)
Supply voltage: 3–5 V DC
Built-in Class-D stereo amplifier
Automatic pairing on power-up
Terminals: L+, L−, R+, R−, VCC, GND
The module is a complete audio solution and does not require an external DAC or amplifier.
2.2 Speakers
2 × full-range speakers:
Impedance: 4 Ω
Rated power: 3 W
Diameter: 40–52 mm (recommended for compact enclosures)
2.3 Power Supply
Two possible options:
Li-Po battery 3.7 V,
5 V USB power (power bank or wall adapter)
Battery operation is recommended for portability.
2.4 Additional Components
Rotary switch 2-positions 2 circuits - 30mm (optional)
M3 / M2.5 mounting screws
3. 3D-Printed Enclosure Design
3.1 Enclosure Structure
The enclosure consists of:
Main body
Front panel / grille
Rear cover
(Optional) volume knob
Speakers frame
Design features:
closed-box construction,
internal mounts for speakers,
standoffs for the Kitronik 2182 module,
ventilation openings for the Class-D amplifier.
3.2 Printing Parameters
Material: PLA (easy) or PET-G (more durable)
Layer height: 0.2 mm
Infill: 15%
Wall thickness: 2 walls
Support needed for main body
3.3 Acoustic Considerations
Internal volume: approx. 0.6–1.0 liters
Optional acoustic damping:
thin foam
felt lining
Front grille openings designed to:
avoid airflow restriction,
protect speaker cones.
