There is an inset space in the back to put the command strips so that the mounts are flush with the wall. The original size fits a command strip side, but scaling it up works fine too. Try scaling it up if you need to mount larger objects.
Printing this shape should be fairly straightforward: No supports, infill at about 15% or so but not finicky, 2-3 walls.
I mirrored the design in my slicer to get a pair of mounts that complement each other.
