I was looking for a way to organize my small workshop items. Started with Whity's popular Rugged Box (Parametric) but didn't care for the "rugged" look, and it didn't have dividers. Then I looked at some of the remixes and other toolbox models but didn't see one that addressed one of my key requirements: I want to be able to move dividers around as needed and not be locked into one specific configuration.
So here's where I landed. I grabbed some ideas from Whity's model but started the design from scratch, to clean up and streamline the design steps. I leveraged Fusion's ability to create "configured designs" and added a magnetic closure mechanism in addition to the latch (which I directly copied from Whity's model although my latch mechanism hides the screws). I believe the free version of Fusion doesn't support configurations, so I provide two separate Fusion files for latches and magnets.
Customization

Size of the box
Inner width of the base
Inner depth of the base
Inner height of the base
Dividers
Specify a fixed number of rows ("y bins", from front of box to back), which defines the width of the dividers.
Specify the maximum number of bins you want on the x-axis ("x bins", along the width of the box). The software will create a corresponding number of slots, in which the dividers can be placed.

I tried to come up with a way to make the divider placement completely flexible, in both x and y, but didn't like the complexity that created.
Locking mechanism
You can choose between a latch or a magnetic locking mechanism. This uses Fusion's Configurations. If you have a paid copy, just open the "Customizable Box.f3z" file and select your choice in the Browser tree. If you have the free version, load the respective latch or magnets f3z file.
Bill of Material
For latches: Six M3x25 hex socket head cap screws.
For magnets: Four 20 x 3 x 2 neodymium magnets.
Printing and Assembly
Nothing fancy here. No supports needed. See 3mf files for suggested orientation and settings. Larger boxes may need a brim to avoid warping.
For latches, insert the screws into the larger openings (which will hide the caps).
For magnets, may want to add a drop of super glue. Double-check that the magnets in the base and the ones in the lid attract and not repel each other, or you'll be very unhappy.
