A replacement card tray fitting a common manual, plastic card shuffler.
After losing our original card tray (how does that happen?), and continuing to use the shuffler, spewing cards everywhere or jamming, I decided to go ahead and make a replacement part. This one is a pretty faithful replacement of what I remember the original one looking like. It works very well and is easy to slide in and out. I printed in clear PETG, giving a translucent print that still allows you to see how the cards are stacking in the shuffler.
Print as is, no supports.
Design note: I made an initial prototype after very careful measuring of the shuffler. It's actually the model I included here. It worked and slid in and out well, but the front face did not fit flush inside the slightly recessed opening on the shuffler. So I reworked and reworked the model, changed the dimensions little by little, the radius of the shoulder fillets, the offsets... and despite all this, it still didn't fit perfectly like I wanted, and I felt like it was actually getting hard to use! An guess what? A $13 shuffler on Temu isn't perfectly aligned, like my model actually was! So I present the prototype - it works well, and if the alignment keeps bugging you like it bugs me, send me a message, and I may try some more!😂
