Greetings traveller! Bring the medieval theme to your bathroom with this medieval shaver holder!
Design inspired by a cup from the game Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. With a slight twist on the colours and use case.
Features
Designed specifically for the Phillips OneBlade 360 shaver: Testing was carried out so the cup could fit the mock-up model of the shaver. It had to be tall enough to prevent falling over and wide enough to allow for additional accessories if desired (e.g. toothbrush, toothpaste, multiple shavers). I used the drawings provided through the contest page for sizing.
Integrated water drainage holes to prevent water build-up after using the shaver. This allows the shaver to dry when sitting in the container and prevents water damage to the inside of the cup. Also helps to prevent mould from forming. The large space above the shaver allows air to move around the blade so it dries more quickly. It also makes it easy to grab when in a rush.
Place on a windowsill or sink.
Multifunctional: Use as a shaver holder, pencil holder, decoration, or any other type of storage! It's up to you.
Realistic wood and rope texture.
Sculpted to look imperfect with wavy wood and irregular rope winding. Creates a more natural appearance. They weren't made by machines!
60 mm opening.
Wide base for stability.
Prints in one piece so no assembly required.
Measures 92 x 124 x 132 mm.
Print settings
PLA.
0.4 nozzle.
0.16 Layer height for high detail (shown here) or use 0.2 for faster print.
Sparse infill pattern: gyroid.
Sparse infill density: 15%.
2 wall loops.
Automatic tree supports on build plate only.
Downloading the file (+multicolour)
Open the stl into your slicer. Right click onto the object and find: separate by parts.
Now the rope and cup will be separate parts. This allows you to colour the rope or the cup differently if you wish and print using 2 colours. Or you can print as one colour and paint afterwards.

Post-processing
The rope was spaced out randomly in order to have a realistic rope effect. This means you may need to remove parts of the support from within the gaps using a metal blade or ruler. Take your time. It can also add some realism in the effect of frayed rope.
Fare thee well!
