Adjustable Phone Stand (Tilting, M5 Hardware)

A simple, sturdy phone stand with adjustable tilt (multi-angle positioning). The angle is locked by friction using two M5 joints, so you can set it exactly how you like for desk work, video calls, or watching content.
All M5 cutouts are already modeled — just print the parts and assemble.

Hardware (BOM)

You only need:

• 2× M5×40 screw

• 2× M5 nut

Print Settings (as used)

• Material: Hyper PLA

• Layer height: 0.2 mm

• Perimeters: 2

• Infill: 25% — 3D Honeycomb

• Supports: Tree, build plate only

  • Support Z distance (object–plate): 0.275 mm

  • Contact layers: 3

• Brim: 10 mm

  • Brim distance from object: 0.2 mm

Assembly during print (pauses included)

1. Insert the M5 nut into the prepared nut pocket (it should be anti-rotation).

2. Pass the M5×40 screw through the hinge support inbuilt).

3. Tighten to your preferred friction — more torque = stiffer angle hold.

4. Repeat for the second hinge.

Notes / Tolerances

Tolerances are already set for typical printing, but you can fine-tune them if needed using the included STEP file (for example, if your printer prints tight/loose, or if your hardware dimensions vary).mo
