Workshop Utility Spoon: "Snap-Off" Kit Card
Tired of hunting for a mixing stick or a disposable applicator only to find your workbench empty?
I designed this kit card for those moments when you need to mix epoxy, dab paint, or ladle out wood filler, but just can't find the appropriate thing. I used to print these individually, but they’re so small they always get lost in the mess of my workbench or bottom of a drawer before I actually need them.
This format keeps them organized until the moment you need one.
Versions:
4-Pack (Wallet Sized): Standard credit card dimensions. It can fit in a wallet, but at 1.5mm thick, it's as thick as 2 standard credit cards. Great for tossing into small toolbox trays.
8-Pack (Workshop Sized): The most practical option for the workshop. More appropriate to keep around the workshop as you'll have to replace it less.
Features:
Stay Organized: Spoons stay attached to the card so the pack remains a single, easy to find unit in your workshop.
Easy Removal: Designed with thin joints. Just twist to snap it off cleanly.
Sturdy: The frame remains stable even after several spoons have been removed, so it won’t fall apart in storage.
Flat Storage: Prints fast and thin. Stick it in a drawer, hang it on a pegboard, or tape it to the side of your epoxy resin bottles.
Hanging Holes: Small holes to make hanging them easier, if that's how you want to store them.
Printing Settings:
Material: PLA works fine for most pastes, but consider PETG if you're working with harsher chemicals or solvents.
Layer Height: 0.2mm is good, but ensure your first layer is dialed in. If you have a squished first layer the joint will get too wide. This makes them hard to snap off and leaves a sharp edge on the spoon.
