The Otto Modular Cube is a snappable, stackable building block designed to turn your HP Robots Otto electronics into three‑dimensional interactive games and IoT experiments. It uses the same modular top‑mount system from the Otto Starter ecosystem, letting you mix and match tops, sensors, lights, displays, and attachments in a compact cube format.

Think of it as Otto’s playground for creativity: a tiny device that can become a Simon Says game, a hot‑potato timer, a lucky cube, a balance challenge, a reaction game, or even a small IoT gadget—all powered by the same electronics you already use in your robot.

🧩 What the Modular Cube Does

  • Snaps together using the Otto top‑module connector system

  • Lets you mount LED rings, OLED displays, sensors, buttons, diffusers, and more

  • Works with the HP Robots Starter Kit + expansions

  • Enables 3D games, interactive toys, and classroom STEM activities

  • Fully remixable—stack cubes, rotate modules, or add your own attachments

🎮 What You Can Build

With the cube + Otto electronics, you can create:

  • 🎵 Simon Says – memory game using RGB lights

  • 💡 LED chase - fast reaction press

  • 🎲 Lucky Cube – shake or tap to get random outcomes

  • 🔥 Hot Potato – pass‑the‑cube timer challenge

  • ⚖ Balance Game – tilt‑based control using sensors

  • 🧱 3D mini‑games using LED rings or displays

  • 🌐 IoT device using Wi‑Fi‑enabled boards

  • 💡 Light toys and interactive classroom tools

The cube becomes whatever you program it to be.

🔧 How It Works

  • Uses the same snap‑fit top interface as Otto robot modules

  • Electronics mount inside the cube using clip‑in holders

  • Openings allow you to attach tops, diffusers, sensors, and displays

  • Multiple cubes can be stacked or connected for more complex builds

🖨 Print Notes

  • Material: PLA recommended

  • No supports required

  • Layer height: 0.2 mm or less

  • Infill: 15% or more

💡 Tips

  • Combine with LED rings for colorful 3D light games

  • Add an OLED display for pixel animations or scores

  • Use sensors (tilt, ultrasonic, buttons) to create interactive challenges

  • Remix the cube faces—we love featuring community creations
