featured at 11:35, updated for better grinding geometry. New prints will be shorter for more compact setups.

An easy to modify parametric rock polishing cup. You can order whatever size you want from places like Slant3D or PCBway. There are many 3d print farm services.

You will want to pick up some polishing pads, epoxy, and velcro / hook and loop pads.

Many polishing pad packs come with 1 chuck adapter; You will need at least 2 more (link below). You can cut up 1 pad of each grit and spread them over the cups like in Rob's original video to save money. Here is an affiliate link to some polishing pads on amazon that will pay me a commission if you purchase after clicking the link. https://amzn.to/4cDP1bp (affiliate link. If you purchase the product using this link I will receive a small commission OR if you want a non affiliate link click here.)

You can get chuck extra adapters on amazon https://amzn.to/3OUIVJP (affeliate link. If you purchase the product using this link I will receive a small commission OR if you want a non affiliate link click here. )

JB weld epoxy can commonly be found at hardware stores and sometimes super-marts like WalMart. Velcro can also be found at WalMart or many craft stores.

I recommend supporting Rob at Michigan Rocks on YouTube by dropping a sub and checking out his other content as well. He also has superchats enabled if you want to fund his channel directly. He also has an Etsy store here. check it out :)

You can update the size of rock you want to make by modifying the "CupOD" parameter in fusion 360 (f3d file included)

Thanks for stopping by and keep making cool things :)

I got excited when printing these and forgot to take pictures for myself. Hopefully a render and a video of them in action will suffice.

Again, Free and open source. If you have any specific sizes you want added to the pre-made pack, leave a comment and I'll try to add them as quickly as possible.

If you want a video tutorial on how I made this part, let me know and I'll whip one up.
