**UPDATE**
Had a request for a smaller version that would fit on a 270mm bed. Happy to add another version. It still fits on the same 8 inch lazy susan and uses the same 12mm magnets. I can accommodate any other specifics you are looking for.
I also added a slightly taller center cup that is easier to remove, especially when the cubbies are full.
My wife was looking for a way to store and organize some of her art and crafting supplies, beginning with her markers. I originally printed a quick and simple box with angled 'shelves' to hold them but I wanted to do better and make it more useful.
We searched for design to print, but nothing was exactly what we wanted. So, I began designing my own. After many iterations and gradual improvements, I wanted to share the what I came up with.
Design Features
This version has 6 individual cubbies and one center cup to organize markers, pens, pencils, crayons, and brushes. The diameter of the base is 300mm (approx 12 in)
The base is designed to 'snug-fit' on top of an inexpensive 8 inch lazy susan base (linked below) making it easy to spin and access all your supplies. Works great on the desk right next to you, but would be awesome on the center of a table in a classroom. Can also be used as a non-spinning organizer without the lazy susan.
Each cubby and the center cup are removable for easier use. They are held in place with magnets and each snaps into a slot on the base. The magnets are optional but highly recommended. These magnets (linked below) are strong enough to hold everything securely in place when moving the entire organizer.
My design is completely parametric so I can customize everything with a few variable changes... diameter of the base, number of cubbies, height of the cubbies or the cup, and magnet dimensions. I can easily accomodate some special requests for other sizes.
This is just the first upload. I plan to upload other useful sizes. I am testing a version with shorter walls to hold craft paints with brushes in the center cup. I'd also like to make a customizable version so anyone can print what works for them. I haven't tried that yet, but I'm learninng.
This version is a little on the larger size. The base was printed on my Prusa XL. I can also upload smaller versions if requested.
