This is a sized down cantilever box fit for a Bambu A1 Mini. The original creator is Michal Fanta and his print can be found on Printables. I wanted to print this handy storage container on my A1 Mini while still maintaining the original M3 screw sized holes. Even after sizing it down, it's still really sturdy and adorable. Can fit many supplies, tools, and etc.

The original creator did not make instructions on how to assemble it, but here are some tips to help!

In the original print some of the files were labelled incorrectly with the number of prints you should do for each file, I have corrected the number of prints you need to make for some of the files.

I also corrected the lengths for the screws!

For the screws(non printed) you will need,

  • 16 pcs - M3 x 35mm  (For the front and back buckles, hinge, and the top lid where the buckle buckles onto)

  • 8 pcs - M3 x 40mm  (For the side buckles and goes into the side handle)

  • 2 pcs - M3 x12mm  (This goes in the handle and screws into side of the box from the inside)

  • 40 pcs - M3 x 6mm (For all the shelfs and rods inside)

  • 4 pcs - M3 x 10mm (PLEASE PAY ATTENTION, this screws into the middle shelf and holds two rods together!)

You can try to use other M3 size dowels, cylindrical pins, or steel shafts, but in my opinion it's best to use screws for better fit!

I suggest you order the screws from alieepxress, or you can try to attempt to print the screws, I would suggest using a stronger material if possible.

Not all the screws are necessary, you can refer back to my images, if you plan on not printing anymore boxes, you can eliminate some screws. I screwed in extra screws for aesthetic reasons, and maybe down the line i'll print another box.

For the bottom of the box where there are two pieces (left and right), I pieced it together with simple superglue and clamped it for 10 mins. I did some stress tests and I find it pretty sturdy.

DO NOT MIX UP THE SHELFS AND RODS, the shelfs are all different (top, middle, bottom). The rods are also different too, you will understand when you try to assemble it! If you mix the shelfs and rods around, it will be impossible to assemble or the box will not close. My tip is, try to print everything in an organized matter and keep track of what you're printing. For the rods, when you assemble it, all the screws should going in from outside to in with the screw head facing the outside!

For all of us that have small mini printers at the moment, have fun printing :)
