Oil Paint Palette – Assembly Instructions (Combo)
Glue the lower and upper bodies together using AC glue.
Use the templates to cut the cupboard lining for the oil paints and middle shelf.
Wrap the insert with a paper towe - insert it into the slot at the back.
Optional: Add self-adhesive plastic feet.
NOTES:
I used 1.2mm firm cardbord for the lning and oil paint palet. Oil Palet Cupboard is glued with double sided sticky tape so it can be replaced when needed. Upper Cupboard shelf is glued with AC glue and is mainly for aesthetic and to absorb any spills from the thinners.
The idea behind the small paper towel pad is to wipe off excess thinner from the brush. Additional external paper towel is recommended for heavier use or for cleaning larger amounts of paint from the brush.
I initially printed the model as a single piece (lower and upper bodies joined), flat on the build plate, with supports enabled to generate support for the insert slot. However, removing the support material from the slot proved very difficult. For this reason, I have split the model into separate lower and upper parts, allowing them to be printed individually without internal supports, resulting in a easier post-processing.
