And another spoolholder for the snapmaker U1.

It is a complete makeover of an existing one at maker world.
You'll find two different sizes. The short one holds spools up to 66mm width, the long one up to 88mm.
You'll need 2 bearings 608 (7mm thick, 8mm hole, 22mm outside diameter)  and a M4x10 to M4x12 screw (doesn't matter what head).

For each holder you'll need to print:
1x Base depending the number which is on the outer face
1x Roll long or short (roler have two sides. The one with the deep hex hole faces the printer)
2x bearing holder (same for long and short)
1x Clip

The Base only needs support at the printers end when you place it on the side (see picture)  → that is my recommendation!
Roller needs to be printed upright with support for the hex hole (see picture)!
I recommend printing in PLA giving a lot more strength than ABS…e.g.

Just put the two bearings on the bearing holder (mine just sliped in smoothly…not tight not too lose (which is not important at all).
Screw the clip in place.
Slide in the roll with bearings in an angle (you'll see what I mean) …the roller only fits one way → see picture.
Snap in the complete part in the printer and have fun.

To remove it…turn/twist it gently and pull it out. You can turn it like almost 90degree (I don't know why but it does ;) )

My RFID Tags work perfectly (Snapmaker spools). The spools have nearly the same distance as with the original snappy holder.

 My Print settings:

  • PLA

  • 3 walls

  • 15% Infill (whatever infill type) for roll, bearing holder

  • 25% Infill (honeycomb) for base → this needs to be strong to not bend from spool weight!

  • 0.2 layer hight

Of course you can paint the numer in Orca and print it like me in a different color.
