Astrophotographers can spend thousands on telescopes and processing software. Is a little contribution to my buymeacoffee page too much for you ?

Here's the hardware I made for my mirrotation project, a device made to collimate newtonian telescopes ranging from 150mm to +300mm. Thanks to its magnetic couplers it can be easily removed and placed on other telescopes. It can be remote controlled from a smartphone through bluetooth thanks to an app and by usb with a software (that should be able to auto-collimate) (see on the github below).

Total device cost : ~ 200€

It is still quite messy but I hope some people will use it !

How to build it ?

You'll have to print (use different colors please, I'd love to see your colorful makes : ) ) : 

• 3 x (Motor_back + Motor_plate + Motor_body + Motor_dovetail + Motor_button + Magnetic_coupler)

• 1 x (carter_bottom + carter_top)

• 6 x Tube_cover

• 2 x Sensor_housing (for sht40)

• 1 x soldering_tool if needed (ofc)

Screws/bolts :

• 16 x ruthex M3 inserts

• 3 x ruthex M6 inserts

• 6 x DIN912 M3x8mm

• 4 x DIN912 M3x25mm

Electronics :

• 3 x 24BYJ48 step motors

• 1 x Metal tube (outer diameter : 8mm, inner : 6mm) cut into 6 equal pieces of your wished length (16cm is great to me)
