The ProFlex Visor is a flexible visor attachment designed to add glare reduction and environmental protection to ProFlex-style airsoft or paintball masks. The geometry extends forward from the top frame of the mask to create a functional shade that improves visibility in bright outdoor environments while also helping deflect rain, dust, and light debris.
This model is intended to be printed using 64D TPU (or other TPU), providing a balance between rigidity and flexibility. At this hardness, TPU maintains enough structural stiffness to hold the visor shape while remaining resilient under impacts and repeated bending. The material also performs well in outdoor environments where temperature variation and rough handling are common.
The visor profile follows the curvature of typical ProFlex-style to maintain a low-profile appearance while included vent holes reduce fogging. The flexible TPU construction helps prevent cracking and shattering that can occur with rigid plastics when used in active environments and while deflecting projectiles.
Material Recommendation
64D TPU (recommended)
Provides semi-rigid structure with high durability and impact tolerance. Suitable for outdoor use and repeated flexing.
Alternative materials may work but may change the behavior of the visor:
Softer TPU grades may sag over time.
Important Notes
This component is an accessory intended for shade and debris deflection only. It is not impact-rated protective equipment. Always use certified eye protection appropriate for airsoft or paintball when playing.
