Magnetic case for protecting the Prusa GPIO Hackerboard and securing it to the frame of the Core One. Probably works for the Core One L too.
Key Features:
Magnetic for securing to the Core One frame - cutouts are sized for 8 x 3mm (2x required)
Wire organizing / routing channels
Snap-fit lid - ease of accessing the GPIO board for future modifications
You will also want a longer cable for connecting the Hackerboard to the I2C port on your printer. You can find different options here.
Printing & Assembly Tips
Supports are required for the Lid, and I recommend using the Grid type. Also, use a brim on the Base to help stabilize the wire channels. Most importantly, slow down print speeds and acceleration so the details come out well. I used a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layer height, which worked well.
For assembly, simply glue the two magnets in place, position the GPIO Hackerboard in the Base of the housing, and then snap the Lid on top. The wire channels on the sides of the case can handle up to ~4mm diameter wire, which is plenty for the wire included with the Hackerboard. I also use the second channel to route the wire for my camera shutter trigger.
