I needed a strong, light and very adaptable mounting solution for various things. So I made one. Completely parametric

I got tired of every available model with a mount of some sort being either too specific, or difficult to use effectively. So I made my own. Included are 1.5", 2" and 3" sizes. though any size can be made.
It is a very simple design consisting of a 'base' that has two screw holes that can be fastened to a wall or ceiling, and a 'key' that will be attached to your model (via F360 or slicer program). The idea is to be able to quickly swap anything you have this key attached to incredibly easily. Or for when you have a lot of organizer space, but no real idea how you want to place everything yet.
It is designed for the key to be flush with the base, making it almost invisible.

They are very quick and light prints, about 15g for a pair.
I have been printing them with PLA and with these settings. I recommend opting for more perimeters and 100% on the base at least. The key can be printed at whatever the model it's attached to is.
Filament | PLA, PETG, ETC. |
|---|---|
Layer Height | 0.2 |
Perimeters | 5 |
Top/bottom | 3 |
Infill | 100% |
Supports | yes, on key |
The base prints very easily laying flat on the bed
The key will need supports on the 'triangle' section.
I recommend printing the 99% base variants for a smooth engagement. But if your printer is not tuned it, 98% should work for you.
I have 'favorited' the most important parametric values for you in case you want to adapt this to your model.
Parametric values of Base

Paramtric values of Key

I have tested with many values and could not get the model to break. It should work for most any situation.
