I purchased the Creality-branded filament sensor for the Ender 3V2. It has several problems:
- It grinds up the filament at the inlet.
- The filament has to travel a way to the extruder, and is very difficult to get in.
- The filament usually gets stuck inside the sensor housing requiring a lot of twisting and turning and pulling out and straightening and reinserting to get it through.
- There is no way to attach a PTFE tube to the inlet for feeding.
This replacement housing solves these problems.
No additional hardware is needed, it uses the screws and mount from the original sensor.
The PTFE tube is optional. It can be inserted 20mm into the housing, the path narrows after this.
