HOTRONIC XLP2C Boot Heater Hat

Ski boot warmers are wonderful when they work!  I was really bummed when I got home from day 1 with a new/expensive set to find a shattered plug and damaged battery unit despite not recalling a single impact.  Thankfully [email protected] was understanding.  

I haven't found a better alternative brand.  This version of the product does not seem robust enough to endure things like "lift chair makes contact with back of boot" so I felt I needed to do something before trying to use the product again.

I was originally inspired by Zack Freedman's video on designing spare parts here, The model is intended as a simple slide on "hat" to reinforce the fragile connection; it should prevent the kind of leveraged forces that could cause damage.  I'm hopeful it's "good enough" to get by!

It should be properly snug at 100% scale, YMMV, you could bump it up or down slightly for your needs/preferences.  I have been printing the model in its standard orientation (requires supports), the layer lines provide some grippiness to keep the hat securely in place.
