Due to increased mouse activity we needed to take drastic measures to protect our dry food supplies. Due to inconsiderate handling of some members of the household, the back panel of the cupboard was pushed backwards leaving a gap which was exploited by our mice population.
Due to the warping caused by pushing the nails out of the bottom plank, the back plate is bent. I have seen this in other cupboards because the aforementioned members of the household are well experienced in this destructive behavior. So I needed a "strip" which fits rigidly in the corner with the gap so it can be tightly screwed/glued in but with some flexibility in the direction to fit tightly against the bent back wall of the cupboard.
My cupboard is a bit bigger than 410mm so I made a 205mm strip and printed 2 of them. I added screwholes to the backside to ensure a tight fit while the glue cures. I used a liberal amount of sticky goop glue (like TEC-7) to close the gap and fix the profile in place.
If your cupboard is a bit bigger or smaller, just scale it in your slicer. None of the measurements are critical and +/- 30% scaling should not affect the outcome. FreeCAD model included for more ambitious mods.
