Tired of that velcro wraparound keeper that secures the end of your two-piece competition outer belt?
This simple buckle is better in a few ways:
Attaches to the belt snugly and does not fall off
Easy to slide along the belt
Quicker to secure - no more fiddling with the velcro wrap
Models provided:
DAA belt measured 38.0 x 8.5 mm
Some other belt measured 39.4 x 6 mm
See "Customization" below for tuning the model to your belt
NOTE: the buckle is thinner on the inside - install it the right way around.
Here is the same model on Makerworld for Bambu Lab printers with parametric editing on the website!
Printing
PETG is probably a good choice
Align the hole upwards when printing
No supports required
Use enough wall loops so that infill is not needed (about 4 wall loops is probably enough)
Inner and outer brim may be necessary, as the bottom is somewhat rounded
Customization
A Fusion 360 model is provided for tuning the dimensions to your belt (or adding your favorite logo)
Dimensions are customizable via "parameters", see below
Measure your outer belts width and thickness. Add about 1 mm to each for a snug fit.
belt_width = 38 mm (DAA belt example)
belt_thickness = 8.5 mm (DAA belt example)
hole_width = belt_width + 1 mm
hole_thickness = belt_thickness + 1 mm
buckle_width = 30 mm
