I made this model because I wanted a permanent spot to for the sensor to live. There is nothing special about this box other than it is sized to fit the Lacrosse LTV-THx sensors and has a ton of air circulation holes.
Prior to making this box I had to move my sensor seasonally to keep it shaded for proper temp reading. With this box, I relocated it under an eave of the house which never sees any direct sunlight and is fully out of any weather, regardless of season. This box could also be used to wall mount the sensor.
The hinged opening ensures battery changes are simple. It's probably a little over-built but I believe it will last quite a long time, especially not receiving direct sunlight.
I printed this in PLA at 0.25mm (for speed and because it is purely utilitarian) and 15% infill. I did enable supports on the build plate only to make sure the hinges and closure tab came out right.
