This model was specifically designed around a 3mm heat-set threaded insert from CNC Kitchen, ensuring a precise fit and reliable thread engagement. If you’re using that insert, everything should line up exactly as intended. Other similar M3 inserts may work, but tolerances are optimized for the CNC Kitchen version.
The clamping mechanism is simple, robust, and repeatable. Insert your tool, tighten the screw, and it locks in place. Loosen it slightly to reposition or swap tools. No more fighting with undersized holes or relying on plastic flex to do the job.
