As part of my son's GCSE project last year he had to design and make a passive amplifier. He experimented with a number of different shapes and a continuously expanding tube generated the best overall sound. He left a 3d printed version laying around and I thought with a bit of a tweak you could turn the design into a sculpture .... and Moby was born.
