I made it for spots where the AP has to sit in a tight space or a compact enclosure and laying it flat or wall-mounting isn't an option.

It bolts straight to the four mounting holes on the back of the E7, so once it's seated it stays put.

Size

  • Stand: 155.6 × 137.2 × 98.6 mm (W × D × H)

  • With the E7 mounted: about 250 × 200 × 187 mm. The E7's lower edge sits about 1.3 mm above the desk.

  • Plate tilted 42°, 5 mm thick, hole pattern 75 × 75 mm

  • The full dimension drawing (PDF) is in the files.

What you'll need (as shown in the photos)

  • 1× printed stand

  • 4× M4×12 screws (ISO 14580, A2)

  • 4× M4 washers (DIN 125, A2)

  • 4× M4×4 heat-set inserts (the holes are Ø5.7 mm, through the 5 mm plate)

  • A few stick-on rubber or felt pads, if you'd rather not scratch your desk

Printing notes

Use something with a bit of heat tolerance, like PETG-CF or similar. The E7 runs warm and you don't want a PLA stand slowly sagging behind a hot AP. PETG-CF also looks right next to the E7's back panel. Plain PETG is probably fine in a cool room, but CF is the safer bet.

Carbon-fibre filament is abrasive, so print it with a hardened nozzle.

  • Mine: Prusa Core One+, 0.4 mm nozzle, Prusament PETG-CF

  • 0.15 mm layers, 3 perimeters, 15% gyroid infill, 6 top / 5 bottom layers

  • Printed standing on its feet, the way it sits on the desk or on its face possible

  • Supports: Build plate only

  • Filament used: PETG-CF

Assembly

  1. Melt the four M4 heat-set inserts into the Ø5.7 mm holes in the plate.

  2. Set the E7 on the plate with its four mounting holes over the inserts.

  3. From below, put a washer on each M4×12 screw and screw it in. The two lower holes have a Ø12 mm recess underneath for the screw head and washer.

  4. Snug the screws to roughly 2 Nm. That's enough to hold everything without stripping the inserts or cracking the print.

That's it!

Files

  • STEP – the stand as a solid, for any CAD program (PrusaSlicer opens it too)

  • OBJ – mesh

  • F3D – the Fusion file

  • Drawing (PDF) – sizes, hole pattern, insert holes and the 42°, on one A4 sheet

If you print one, drop a Make, and if you remix it for a different angle or mount, even better.

Changelog

  • 2026-10-02: added a dimension drawing (PDF) and new pictures, tidied up the description.
