My shower drain has a heavy tile cover. This tool helps to remove the cover so that the drain can be cleaned. you barely need to squeeze the pliers. Just make sure they are firmly in contact while the hooks are below the cover and lift them upwards.
The two moving parts are connected with a printed screw. I deliberately designed it to be very firm fit, this should avoid that the screw losen over time. The screw can be turned with a coin (1 euro coin).
I've printed mine with PLA. As it might get in contact with water or wet surface PETG might be also a good choice.
