G Scale Acid Tank Car

This is a shorter tanker modeled after the hydrochloric acid style tank cars.  It's designed for a 3" x 13" PVC pipe.  The tanker ends have a larger radius which results in less curvature for these cars compared to the LPG tankers.  New features include rebuilt truck mounts with a longer platform to mount a vertical buffer end plate seen on these acid tank cars as well as the vertical plate with a guide pin to mount to the end of the tank.  The end plate fits two shorter end rail mounts than the single mount on the original design.  Trucks mounts are modeled to fit AML style trucks.  Other new features are guide mount tabs for the tank top platform, vent, and man-way which make mounting the features easier.  Also provided are a drill hole pattern guide for the stanchions, truck mounts,  and drain, and a separate drill hole pattern guide for the man-way and the platform.  The top platform handrail posts are slightly shorter than the original for a different aspect ratio.  This build uses a stanchion with a slight angle from the guide pin that should be used if the drill hole pattern guide is used.  Decals were purchased from Highball graphics.
