Description
When you have some spools which are made by paper, or your spools have broken edges, or less heat resistant spools, etc. You may need these Ultra Thin Spool Edge Clip Circle Adapters to help you. Simply clip it on the spool, you'll then have no problems to use them with MMU's such as Qidi Box.
The Spool Edge Clip Circle Adapter will incease the outer diameter by 2.4mm. The most commonly used spools are usually standard 200mm in diameter. However, in real world the diameters are vary from 198mm to 201mm in most of cases.
It's thin and light, only takes arround 11g material. It doesn't block the side filament secure holes on the spool.
Tips
Print with 0.2mm layer hight and 0.4mm line width as usual. Use heat resistant material if your MMU has heating system. I personally print with ABS.
Different printers may vary on output sizes and materials shrink differently as well, so testing is necessary! When testing, make sure the printed model has completely cooled before fitting it onto the spool. Generally, start by printing a test piece same as your spool diameter.
Spool fitting thickness: 2-3.5mm
As to the uploaded files, the first numbers of the file name tells you the inner diameter of the adapter which matches your spool's diameter. It should be slightly smaller (<0.2-0.5mm) than your spool's diameter in general, so it can tightly fit on the spool.
Files are in STEP format so you can modify to suit your own needs.
