Found the rock sludge was blocking up the drain holes very quickly so I have uploaded an alternative bowl with a G38 thread for a 10mm OD tube.

This is a Flat Lap Rock Polishing Machine with Mechanically fastened polishing disks that I designed for my wife's latest hobby.

I was originally inspired by the following great model by Boob & used the same Motor specification:
https://makerworld.com/en/models/2251597-8-inch-flat-lapidary?from=search#profileId-2452061

However my wife wanted a fixed Flat Lap machine with a robust disk assembly so I designed this from scratch using the same motor.

I have made the bowl size quite generous so the full width of the polishing disk can be utilized, However it will still fit on a 250 x 250 build plate.

This design includes a robust fixed support frame with an sprung arbor locking mechanism for mechanically fixing the polishing disks with a M5 bolt.
Other features include:

1. Dual drain sills for motor & main water feed.
2. Disk storage rack.
3. Water Reservoir & clamp stand.

I have included CAD files for personal customisation & value engineering.
A lot of the hardware selected was based on stuff that I had lying around\in stock. Most are therefore not design specific and cheaper alternatives may easily be found. I used 4mm tubing for the drain & water feeder due to stock but larger diameters may be desirable for greater larger water feeds.
There is also a BOM with sample reference links included in the upload.

I will try to upload an installation guide in the near future.
