At the top of the fridge near the hinge is this plastic part that helps create a positive close for the door. It is designed to flex a bit. My original part broke and I could see where air bubbles were trapped in the original plastic injection mold creating the weak point.
I printed mine with PLA at 0.2mm using a 0.4mm nozzle at 40% gyroid infill. I wonder if a lower infill percentage would work even better?
So far it's working well with the plastic pin holding the wheel in place. The original had a steel roll pin.
Update 2 May, 2026: The 40% infill part snapped after about 2 weeks. I think going down to 15% infill would allow more flex, but I opted for the following:
TPU 95A at 80% infill for the main body. PLA at 60% infill for the disk and the centering pin. This doesn't have as much tug on the door as the straight PLA model, but it seems to be holding up better. If I had TPU 98A I would use it instead for the slightly stiffer resulting model.
