Updates:

  • 2026-10-04: Fixed a similar, but even bigger error with the STL generated for the front left riser (with thermometer only.) This STL is now correct. Thanks to @LoveM1lk_5279456 for reporting.

  • 2026-05-05: Fixed an error with the way the STL was generated for the front right riser, which broke the corners around the display. The STL is now correct again.

    • Also added STP files of most parts for easier remixing.

This is my enclosure design for the Flashforge Adventurer 5M.

When designing this enclosure, I had the following goals in mind:

  • Integrate the touch screen in the enclosure riser, inspired by the Slim Shady enclosure, but with the screen angled upwards for ease of viewing

  • Full compatibility with the official enclosure kit

  • Use less material than the official enclosure

  • Beautiful, minimalist design

  • Integrated thermometer

  • Integrated prop for the top cover

In addition to this, I added an integrated prop to keep the enclosure lid slightly open when printing PLA. I also have a resedigned, side-mounted spool holder, based on Doug Joseph's work but uses the same mount as the Filler spool holder, meaning you can easily remove the spool holder and swap out between different versions from the Filler ecosystem.

The risers are designed generally from scratch, although I have used the dimensions and placement of the mounting hardware from the official kit sold by Flashforge, and also referenced the Slim Shady enclosure for the touchscreen mounting dimensions.

The front risers are printed with the front panel facing down, allowing you to imprint whatever texture you like on the front panel.

Most other parts are remixed from the official Flashforge enclosure and Doug Joseph's minimal enclosure. These parts have been modified somewhat to fit my risers, and have also been generally improved to make assembly easier.

I have included 2 versions of the guard plates to choose from: Full coverage guard plates in the style of the original enclosure, and minimal guard plates in the style of Doug Joseph's minimal enclosure. There are also 2 versions of the front left riser: with an opening for a thermometer and without.

Instructions:

  • For recommended print settings, open the included .3mf in OrcaSlicer. It contains some carefully placed support paint on some of the risers, among other settings.

  • For assembly instructions, the procedure is mostly the same as the official enclosure. The main difference is with the touch screen which is mounted on the inside of the riser.

    • Take the screen out of its plastic housing.

    • Insert it into the front left riser (after removing all support material from the USB port and cable hole.)

    • Screw in the display using the 4 screws that held together the display housing. Put one of the printed washers on each screw before screwing it in. The washers are needed because the original screws are too long - if you have shorter screws of the same thread, you may omit the washers.

I've included STEP files of as many parts as possible - remixing is highly encouraged.

Happy printing!
