This is a 1x6x6U Gridfinity holder for the Someline 2210P crimping pliers for red / blue / yellow electrical connectors (eg. butt, spade, ring, etc..); includes a slot to keep the little manual / guide, if you wish to keep it with the crimpers.
Internally, there are 2 steps at each end to stabilise the crimpers in such a position that keeps them from tipping forwards and raising the handle higher (this was done to let the pliers fit into an Ikea Alex short drawer).
Created a 1x6x6U solid bin with PerplexingLab's Gridfinity generator (fitted with sliding openings for 6*2mm magnets), then imported into Orca. First carved the necessary slots with negative parts, and exported that as a new STL; then imported the new model, and added 2 rectangular prisms to lift the head and handle. Nothing particularly advanced, but I have yet to learn CAD. Kept the stacking brim on the holder, as I like the look.
Internally, the slots are stepped at the front, to raise the crimping head and keep the back as straight as possible. I modified the slots in this way because, as the original version were 3 slots simply cut into a Gridfinity bin (via negative parts), it would cause the heavier heads to dip down and raise the rear tip of the handle, which would catch on the IKEA Alex these are kept in.
My holder was printed with Sunlu HSPLA Oreo, at with a 0,4mm nozzle and a layer height of 0,24mm and 10% infill; no supports needed. Reduced to 2 the walls, top surfaces, and bottom surfaces, as this will just sit in a drawer.
