UPDATE (June 22, 2026) : My initial version worked but was not holding the hose as firmly as I would have liked, so I added a newer more robust version V02; this is the yellow version in the photos. See print instructions below.

This is specifically for the Bissel Little Green Premier Model 3500 carpet cleaner. As can be seen from the included manual drawing, the hose holder for this model creates a 90° bend in the hose when storing the hose, which can (and did, in my case) result in the hose breaking at the bend.

I know I am not the only person who has experienced this failure, as evidenced by this model :

In my humble opinion, the original design is defective, so I made a modified hose-storage holder (which fits inside the original hose-holder), to store the hose at a more gentle angle.

Note : I did not see the above link for hose connector until after I had repaired my hose, but it looks useful to me, so I thought I would include it here. I repaired my hose connection by cutting the hose at the break point (being careful not to damage the inside delivery tube for cleaning solution). I removed the short broken off piece inside the handle, screwed in the cut off hose, and reinforced the join with hot-melt glue.

Assembly and Use

The modified hose holder simply fits inside the original hose-holder, so that the "hook" on the back fits into the opening in the back of the original holder. With the modified hose-holder in place, the hose simply snaps into place as shown in the photos.

The downside of the modified holder is that the hose sticks out to the side, but I feel that is a small price to pay for not having the hose break.

Some notes on changes made to the V02 version :

  • Opening for hose is a bit smaller

  • Opening for hose has "lips" to make it easier for the hose to slip in

  • The part that clamps the hose now has slightly thicker walls

Print Instructions

Print in PLA using the 3mf files provided, otherwise :

  • 0.2mm layer height

  • 5 perimeters

  • 15% rectilinear infill

Version V02 : Print in PETG using the 3mf files provided, otherwise :

  • 0.2mm layer height

  • 6 perimeters

  • 15% rectilinear infill

For the second version I used PETG instead of PLA as I think it flexes better, but PLA would probably still work.
