Look, I know you have too many cards, we all do. If you're like me and don't have enough drawers to store them all, then I have a solution to clear up space so that you can buy some more!

This storage system is a little different than other options out there because it is stackable. By using Sterilite 20 quart gasket boxes with the blue handles, you can store your cards safely away from the elements, and you can even add in some dessicant bags to protect from humidity. Or, if you already have some gridfinity bases, these will fit right in.

To use the system the way I intended, you need three things:

  1. The gridfinity baseplate. It's split into two pieces, left and right (they are different!!) which should print on most print beds. I glued mine together with epoxy afterwards, but that isn't strictly necessary.

  2. Card trays. For now, I just have the 5x2 card tray, if there is interest in other sizes let me know. No promises, but if I have the time I can look into it. Additionally, any gridfinity compatible item should work with the base. I do plan to make some 2x1 boxes as well, which I thick should be able to hold a standard deck and take advantage of the unused space.

  3. (Optional) Card dividers. For now, I have the basic mana types from MTG since that's what I'm using this for. I plan on creating a few more simple text dividers for things like tokens, basic lands, etc..

I printed the bins and the bases with a 0.6 nozzle. I had to deburr the elephant foot from the bottom of the bins for a really nice fit, and they aren't as pretty, but they printed much faster. Two of these fit on my X1C print bed at a time.

For the card dividers, I included a few variations. My personal favorite is the multicolor variation. You will definitely need a small nozzle for this, I used a 0.2mm nozzle, and I don't think you could really go any bigger and still get clean results. These are .3mf files, so when you import them there will be a prompt that asks something along the lines of "Do you want to import this as a single file with multiple parts?" Select yes at that prompt. In the objects section one of the sub-objects will end in "_color". Assign a different filament color to it and voila! You're off to the races.

There are also embossed versions of the card dividers that may print a bit better with a 0.4mm nozzle or for those of you that don't want to mess with multicolor prints. Some of them have a two sided and a one sided variant for you to choose as you please.
