The Next Gen (2022+ world, 2024+ North America) Ford Ranger Raptor has a fantastic electronically controlled suspension. But there is a glaring flaw in the design/location of the rear height sensors. They are very exposed to flying debris like gravel, rocks and sticks. There are lots of nice metal covers out there, but unless you get a truly beefy one that is intended to be a skid plate (think RIVAL 4x4) they really are only there to protect from those flying objects. I figured, why not make some?
I printed the covers themselves with ASA at 6/6/6 walls and top/bottom, with 25% crosshatch infill. The M5 caps were printed in TPU to slightly stretch over the bolt heads. The OE bolts are plenty long but I also added a small washer (needs to be less than 12mm OD)
