J - Murder Drones - Fan Art

I made this model as part of my Blender learning process - it is my first from-scratch project and might not have the best topology in some places.

With that being said, I present to you a figurine of SD - J from the popular animated YouTube series Murder Drones in her iconic "Really?" pose.
The model is made in a relatively small scale - standing at just over 10cm (~4 inches) tall, it is quite a challenge to print and paint properly, however nothing is stopping you from scaling it up.

Print/Assembly Recommendations:

• To get the most detail, you should print the split version - you can glue it together later, though the seams might require some work

• When printing the legs, slow the print speed down (40mm/s should do) and mind your cooling settings - excessive cooling might cause warping even in PLA, which will lead to a failed print (The legs took me 4 attempts to successfully print even with a 0.2mm nozzle)

• When attaching the legs, I drilled small holes into them and used some stiff wire as a reinforcement - i definitely recommend that you do the same

• There is no hole for the tail in the model, you will need to either add one in the slicer or drill it out yourself (recommended, as adding holes to the print might cause detail loss)

• There is no tail model, as it would print poorly at this scale. Use a piece of stiff wire or a piece of bent filament instead - if used correctly, the model can even stand on its own and the base becomes optional
