James Feurtado’s excellent TCD was not compatible with any of the existing mount versions for Mr. Baddeley’s MK4 R2-D2. James Mayner, Patrick Yeary, and I brainstormed several ideas and developed a solution that works while preserving the benefits of the MK4’s modular utility bay.
This design is currently intended to work with Jerrod Hofferth’s Utility Bay Module. The modified MCU is based on Marc Frank’s design created for Jerrod’s Utility Bay.
Almost every part in the modular utility bay has been adjusted in some way to ensure proper fitment. As a result, reprinting parts will likely be necessary if you have already printed the original components.
See attached Readme for full details, however, the large module bay will need manually painted supports on the overhang of the dispenser cutout and magnet mount.
05/17/26 - I replaced the LED Tray with a new version that has a bit wider opening for the cards, and a ramp to help guide the cards a bit better.
