First of all, a big thank you to ShelbyCob for the excellently designed top cover. This top cover is my favorite of all, the front flap locks into two positions, and the fit to the printer is perfect. With other top covers, you have to remove and replace a loose panel.
I have changed the following parts:
Exhaust fan 120 mm, LED lighting, centering of the locking levers, central bearing of the flap, magnets at the flap handle, traverse with LED cable channels for roof inserted. For the screw connections, I enlarged the holes on the upper parts to accommodate the screw diameter. Countersinks for countersunk screws were added to the hinges. On the triangular parts, I made the screw holes for the latches deeper to accommodate longer screws. Top-side guide for TPU.
I couldn't print the large cover parts (PETG) without distortion without a cardboard box as a cover; with the box it worked without any problems. When printing the groove of the flap, the interface of the support is printed with PLA, this works very well, I recommend, in addition to ShelbyCop's instructions, to completely switch off all part cooling fans. I made a test part for the groove of the flap. I used these holders for the LED strips: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2207879/files "LED_Strip_Main_Body_295mm.stl". For the LED strip holders, I recommend ABS, ASA, or similar materials; PETG does not have sufficient heat resistance for this. The connecting tabs of the lower rear covers weren't aligned, so I enlarged the screw holes upwards. The lower left rear cover has a mold defect that I couldn't repair; it's purely cosmetic. Countersunk screws must be used on the hinge parts with a countersink, otherwise, cylinder head screws can be used.
Please download the desired original parts from the official ShelbyCop website and refer to the excellent printing and assembly instructions. https://makerworld.com/de/models/2205021-snapmaker-u1-slant-flap-hinged-top-cover#profileId-2396191
I can also recommend my other Snapmaker U1 modifications.
