🌱 Two-piece Japandi-style planter
Hello everyone! If you're looking for something more than just an ordinary plastic planter, this two-piece Japandi-style set (a combination of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian design) is perfect for you.
The set consists of a textured inner pot and an elegant outer bowl that catches excess water while complementing the overall aesthetic.
✨ Design Features
Inner pot: Features a distinctive wavy texture that creates an interesting play of shadows.
Outer bowl: A minimalist, slanted design that highlights the inner color and texture.
Contrast: Ideal for combining two colors (e.g., matte dark green and marble/concrete gray as shown in the photo).
⚙ Print settings
Material: PLA or PETG (I recommend PETG for better moisture resistance).
Layer height: 0.12 mm (the wavy texture hides it beautifully).
Perimeters: I recommend at least 3 perimeters to ensure the planter is truly watertight.
Fill: 10–15%.
Supports: Not needed – the bowl’s angled cut is designed to print cleanly without them.
🧩 Tips for use
Waterproofing: If using PLA, I recommend treating the inside of the bowl with a clear varnish or over-extruding the print (light overfill/extrusion multiplier) to prevent water from seeping between layers.
Color combinations: A combination of matte colors (terracotta, sand, slate) or filaments with wood/stone additives looks great.
